jthiemeyer
I did a quick search and was not able to find this topic covered. I have a 2001 Legacy Limited GT with a standard front windshield. On the way to work this morning it cracked and I am now looking to replace it. When looking for a windshield, I am asked if it is heated or not. My question is, is the wiring there to put the heated windshield in easily or is it not worth the hassle? I know many times the wiring harnesses are the same across different trim levels and there could be an unused plug sitting there waiting to get plugged in. johnegg
i doubt it. but if ''heated windshield'' was an option for that car when new, then maybe. try www.cars101.com but it seems like a ''factory'' option, not a dealer add on. one thing you can check is under the console. if that is where the hheated windshield switch would go. my 97 GT had the wiring connectors for the heated seat switches in the console. i'm not sure about the glasss.
