How much power out of EZ30/36 and EG33

Hello all!

I know this is one of the most bland, boring, and silly question. My dad wanted to turbocharge or twin turbocharge a Subaru EZ30/36 or an EG33, for a project vehicle. He was curious how much power you could get out of each of those blocks reliably. 350hp? 400hp? 450hp? 500hp? Let me know. Also if you have any other posts that might help please link them.

Thank you all in advance! :)

I don't exactly know. But do you know the guys from mightycarmods on youtube? They boosted an EZ36. It is now an 11.xxx sec car with I believe 5lbs of boost or something. Search youtube for super gramps.

Super Gramps is basically the greatest thing ever.

Although the attainability tends to go out the window as soon as they say "We met up with our friends at Haltech, they're setting us up with a custom Elite standalone ECU"

I think I might be able to patch something together with the local people in Maryland. Though I don't know anyone so that's already an issue.

You might want to consider posting your question over on this forum:

The 3.0 & 3.6 seems to be more common over in Australia, and I'm sure Tim from Raptor would be able to answer your questions. His handle over there is Tradewind. Ed from XRT helped in the development of the Raptor headers for the 3.0 & 3.6, and knows that platform extremely well. His handle over there is west_minist. They are both on here as well, with the same handles. If you boost an EZ30 or EZ36, keep us posted. That would be an awesome project to take on, if I had an endless supply of funds!

Tim from Raptor is a member here too. He was coordinating with the 5th Gen 3.6R guys when Raptor started producing headers for the EZ36.

Italian Legacy here has a Raptor Supercharger on his 3.6R.

And here is the mod list for the 5th Gen 3.6R guys.

I will see what happens then! (I don't know how likely the project is to happen anymore, since the person I was doing it with kinda lost interest)

All 3 are nice. I love the EG33 for parts and good for power making.

Somehow, I love the 3.0R and not yet convince of the 3.6, but have heard some good numbers with them, but.... Sorry thats just me. I would take the 3.0R any time. Also the 3.0R holds a little boost better.

For your project, I would go with the EG33. Many parts to be had. If you are looking for an ems to control it all, msg me.

I love this car :)https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC1H4yE6gs4AGm5xz8cbHhtA

The EZ30R-T as I like to call it (along with many others) can do up to 300whp with a dyno correction of 1. Anything over that you going to have to go in. I would recommend to you if you are going to boost it, install a piston kit, head studs, valve springs, etc, etc and anything else you can get parts available for to go well over 400whp safely and reliable. http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1215617
