mailman
I removed the pistons from my spare ej22 last night, and something strange happened. I removed both left side pistons and the right front pin when the crank stopped turning completely. It would turn 90 degrees either way, enough to move the #3 piston in and out. I was able to remove the two remaining.pistons, but this still happens and I don't understand why unless there's something in there blocking it. I will find out today but just wanted to see if there's an obvious mechanical reason that I'm overlooking.
mailman
It was just the rods catching on the rear of the cylinder
mailman
Now I have a rounded bolt. The last one to split the block, and it's in the coolant passage. Any ideas? I tried slightly different size sockets, valve compound on the head. My easy out won't fit down there and neither will a grinder.
