Gt_Legacy
A few weeks ago I got in a fender bender with some one else hitting my car pretty bad here's how it looked With just recently moving into this car I was already planning on swapping hoods and fenders so that was no biggie but my core support was pretty mangled along with my radiator, my lights and grille were done as well. So I went a head and stripped it down to try and straighten the core back out and this is what I got http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/11/16/d6ad416146f35527737474c6d9f24c12.jpg I was really happy with that untill I put my new hood and lights and grille that were on the shelf back on After strippung it back down I was looking at the top peice of the core and realized it was pinch welded, after realizing it was too mangled to fix I decided to get a new one from the junk yard Tacked it back in (don't judge our welds, cheep harbor freight wleder with little experience) After that it was down to bondo and paint (again first time using bondo) http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/11/16/f7cf7d889a2b965d3c0c34f9342dbe36.jpg And that is my progress from this weekend. Should be finished by next weekend, I'll keep posting progress pictures until its done, thanks for viewing
GTEASER
Nice job! I did a 2003 Leggy that needed both the headlight buckets replaced as well. It was easy and I was new to welding also. I just practiced a lot on some thin metal I picked up at HD. It's easy to blast right thru it with the arc if you don't have the welder set right. Hope everything lines up perfect for you.
