jcs
Hi All, I have a 2005 LGT 5MT wagon with 54K miles. No modifications. Today, I pulled the key out to exit the car, and to my surprise, when I opened the door, the chime "chimed" like I left the keys in the car. The RKE (remote keyless entry) is completely non-functional (both sets) and the power locks work. But when I attempt to lock the doors and shut the doors, the locks pop back open like I left the keys in the ignition. Keys are not in the ignition. So I cannot lock the car. Any ideas? Rhitter
Check your fuses. Make sure something isn't blown. Their is a fuse box by your left knee and one in the engine bay (drivers side) On the back of the fuse covers is the schematic. My OBXT build
jcs
Checked fuses. Anything associated with locks all good. Car runs/drives/starts just fine.
KRM
Same thing happened on another Japanese vehicle I own. Turned out to be the ignition switch.
quick4dr
the switch can do this, saw it when I worked at infiniti ages back, also a door switch saying the door is open can cause quirks
