Surfcast23 Posted November 10, 2015 Share Posted November 10, 2015 My check engine light came on last week so I took it to autozone and they said it was p0171. So I started looking on the forums to try and figure out what is was. Today on my way back from class it started randomly having a hard time accelerating. I would put it in gear and give it gas and the RPM's would jump to 4k until I let of the gas. I could only get it to accelerate by slowly depressing the pedal. I would appreciate any advice on this. apexi Posted November 10, 2015 Share Posted November 10, 2015 Vacuum leak somewhere after the maf sensor. Look for any disconnected vacuum hoses, under the intercooler is a common place for them to get disconnected. If there are no disconnected vacuum lines, there's extra air getting into the engine somewhere, worn gasket, etc. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
