762x39
Can anyone confirm if there are any Strut bars that will clear the GrimmSpeed TMIC? It seems like there isn't much room for a strut bar because the GrimmSpeed TMIC is set way back in the engine bay.

PeterJMC
EDIT -- You beat me too it^^ I did some searching and found the answer in the Grimmspeed interest and development thread for the TMIC... http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php/grimmspeed-08-wrx-lgt-top-mount-intercooler-interesti-212367.html The STi Strut Tower brace (STB) fits and was confirmed by WRX USA with pics too! According to one of his posts, it's part number ST2050221010 http://legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=5066385&postcount=687 http://legacygt.com/forums/showpost.php?p=5066624&postcount=
TheMonaLisa
If you end up buying this please post up your feedback it this thread. Curious if you can feel a difference from this strut bar. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
PeterJMC
The Whiteline STB might fit. It appears to be as slim as the STi one. Whiteline STB part no KSB630 http://www.whiteline.com.au/docs/install_guides/Z294.pdf The STi brace is expensive, and doesn't seem to be easy to locate on retail sites. If it fits with the engine cover on (and the picture makes it look like it does. It should fit* My OBXT build
Rhitter
KSB630 does fit. It's not a super simple just drop in nicely installation though. Had to muscle one of the sides in a little bit. There are plastic hangers holding a metal pipe in the rear of the engine bar and they interfere slightly. The angles seems slightly off for an easy installation. But, it does work, and it's not $300-$400 like the flexible STI one. http://i.imgur.com/5u0DWvu.jpg http://i.imgur.com/QRNmbx8.jpg My OBXT build
dukeneverwinter
BUMP, Does it run much on the body where it sit behind the Intercooler? I've been doing some rallycross, and want any kind of chassis reinforcement I can get.
Homedepotmade
subscribed. I am curious myself.
Rhitter
It doesn't touch the body. It touches plastic clips. If it stops raining I'll take a look and see if there is any noticeable rubbing. My OBXT build
