98legwag Posted October 15, 2015 Share Posted October 15, 2015 For my 09 Legacy 3.0R I recently installed an AEM Dryflow panel filter. I had read good reviews on its filtration ability and longevity. I have only had it in for about 1,000 miles so far. For oil filters I bought a 6 pack of OEM oil filters from subarugenuineparts.com. They came with the crush rings for the drain plug as well. For oil I am just using conventional 5w-30 with OCI around 3,000 miles for peace of mind. Its probably overkill but whatever. My friend recently switched his OB 3.0R to Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w-30 and a FRAM Ultra Synthetic filter. He went 5,000 miles and changed it. He said he could've gone further.
