Wookiee Fury
http://imgur.com/ib4PZbNI periodically check on learning view to see how things are going. Well, today I noticed a lot of knock. I noticed today that my exhaust had come loose and I need to replace the gasket. Could the loose exhaust cleaning around cause the knock?
ras06LGT
Yes, it could. Loose heat shields are usually a good culprit for false knock, so a loose exhaust would probably be worse.
Wookiee Fury
Ive included two LVs. one is from 8/30 and the other is from last night. I couldnt get them to post last night.
ras06LGT
Fix the loose exhaust, reset the ECU, and drive around for a few days to see if the knock comes back.
bnguyenbb6
Don't reset the ECU, let it add timing back on its own. If not, you might be forcing it to knock over and over while "testing" the "fix".
Wookiee Fury
I shouldn't have reset the ECU, but I had already done it before I read the last suggestion. I got the exhaust fixed a little over a week ago and checked my LVs regularly. I had no knock correction until I just checked it. It's correcting in the same tables again. Any suggestions?
