BabyTunaSteak
hi there everyone i have a 92 legacy L and i am experiencing a loss of power i can hear a rumbling sound on slow acceleration kinda like a gurgling noise it sounds as if it is coming from the pre cat.... i want to upgrade from the stock exhaust but don't really know where to start looking.. i mainly would like to eliminate the pre cat altogether so i dont have to purchase a new down pipe and cat.. finding engine upgrades for an NA subby ej22 has been puzzling to me for i dont really know from what other subaru i can rip parts from i know wrx just dont know what year. If anyone has any EXP on this PLEASE help this car has 85,000 miles on it stock and i want to build it right.
bcmaxx
i fit a header/hollowed cat assembly off a 2002 forester on my 92 legacy ej22e. I had to weld it to the intermediate pipe ( where the cvatalitic convertor and center pipe use to meet)
BabyTunaSteak
Ugh :/ I'm trying to avoid welding anything I don't have a welder or a buzz box. And I don't have the time to go and rent one I was looking for something I can buy and bolt on and go the down pipes from the 02 forester fits the ej22 and what's the difference between the ej22 and ej22e ? bcmaxx
You could run a clamp on flex pipe or a clamp on flanged flex connector from fx exhaust or equivalent. Just use the legacy of sensor and plug the rear sensor hole on the forester cat
