Redline2083
Need a little help differentiating a couple things. I know the engine models are different for the US and JDM turbo vehicles, which explains different part numbers. Why would something like a bonnet be different if they are the same chassis etc? For example, things like the power steering pump are the same p/n in both regions, but the bonnet is JDM: 57229AG0109P and USDM: 57229AG04A9P I own the JDM model and it is way cheaper to ship from the US than Japan, so i try to source from the US. Are the parts really different in terms of "FITTING"?
battelready
The JDM front and USDM are different because of crash test safety standards in the US. Im not sure about the hood ( valley legacy could probably answer that ) but the bumpers fenders headlights and crash beams are different. Merc6
Hood may collapse/crumble* differently for all we know. Was there a shipping weight of each shown somewhere? In the case of the n/a Skittle and SRT-4, the SRT-4 hood was like an inch longer because the front fascia was different. 2005 Satin White Pearl Subaru Legacy 2.5 GT Unlimited 5EAT (Project Car) 2019 Agate Black Ford Explorer XLT 4WD (DD)
Redline2083
ahhh ok. Makes sense. I'd like to do measurements just out of curiosity to see the differences. Subaru is very complicated
