slowurroll
What do you guys think? I decided to tackle replacing the brake pads this weekend and when I went to do the rears, I opened the box and noticed something strange. It almost looks like they gave me 3 of the same pad instead of 2 outboard and 2 inboard. It looks like I have 3 outboard pads for the rear. Am I correct in thinking this? I just want to make sure there isn't something funky about the rear pads that I should know about lol http://i1084.photobucket.com/albums/j416/801tC/20150830_201913.jpg
ras06LGT
Yeah, you're assumption seems correct. Should have wear indicators on both inboard pads.
whitetiger
indicators are not necessary. you dont need them. And other than the existence of the indicator, there is no difference in pad shape between inboard and outboard. just put them on.
slowurroll
Well I wasn't really sure if they would make a difference or not but when I went to do the job with new rotors last night, I realized that the front rotors they gave me are wrong. Too small in diameter and have the wrong bolt pattern. So I have to go back to O'Reilly today anyway. Might as well bring it up to them while I am there.
