rip_it
Does the car need to be 'under load' in order to adjust sway bar stiffness? The white line bars are currently on the softer setting and I'd like to put the rear and possibly front bar on the stiffer of the two settings. I have jack stands but don't own ramps. I realize how simple this should be, but i just dont want to unbolt the sway bar and not be able to get it reattached. i'm an amateur.. thanks for any input
ras06LGT
Having the car at ride height isn't strictly required, but it's going to be noticeably more difficult to get the bolts back into the sway bars and end links with the suspension in full rebound. Ramps are cheap - go buy some. They come in handy WAY more than you might imagine.
whitetiger
it does not matter if you have the car up or down. As long as both sides are equal, there will be no tension on the bar. make sure both front or rear wheels are off the ground if you decide to do it jacked up.
