bjkroll
Welp, I just finished pulling out my motor, but I think I fucked up When separating the motor, the lower studs got hung up on the TC. This put upward strain on the transmission via the TC. The TC started to pull out, but I relieved the pressure and pushed it back in. Now the TC has a nasty growl / vibration when you turn it on the transmission. Is the shaft toast on this thing? Am I SOL?

johnegg
make sure to have the TC fully seated before you reinstall the engine. failure to do so will kill your trans. search "how to seat your torque converter'' or just "torqueconverter". bjkroll
Ok. I'll pull the tc off tonight. I haven't reinstalled the motor yet, so it shouldn't have that dreaded damage.

johnegg
i don't know what you have done, but i don't think you have to remove the TC to get it right.
