rmland
I just bought a 2015 Legacy two weeks ago. I drove it home and when I got on our dirt road there was a rattle in the front drivers side wheel area. It stops when I put on the brakes. No rattle on asphalt. Anybody else have this problem? A friend thinks it might be the brake caliper slide. I'd appreciate any help. The dealer wasn't any help.
jamiealonzo
We've expressed the same concerns to the dealer. Though no duplication of problem. Are you having any issues with your brake pedal slowly going to the floor? For instance you come to a red light. As you sir there with your foot on the brake, does your foot slowly go to the floor... past your gas pedal? hkshooter
Sounds like a pad rattle. You may have a bent or lose anti rattle shim which could allow the pad to be loose fitting. If this is the case it won't hurt anything. As said above you may also have a worn slider bolt. You can check the caliper and pads for looseness yourself or have a shop do a free inspection for you.
