John My friend has bought a pair of Philips Ultinon Led to repace the stock H11 halogen Fog bulbs. However, he had to return the Leds because it was not possible to install them (Philips claims that you just need to replace the stock bulbs). He showed differences between stock H11 socket bulb and Philips Ultinon socket. Philips Leds have smaller tabs that do not permit to be fit in his 2011 Subaru Legacy H11 socket. Thanks for replying me! My friend has a JDM 2011 Subaru Legacy. His Fog Lamps uses H11 socket, but the original plastics tabs from H11 stock lamp are bigger than the tabs from Philips Ultinon Led. With this issue, Philips can not be fit in the original socket. Do you know if Philips Ultinon is fully compatible even with JDM subbie models that uses H11 socket? I know that the first iteration of this product had some fitment problems (going back over a year), but this has since been resolved. shi_daniel Posted January 6, 2016 Share Posted January 6, 2016 Finally I knew why my friend had to return Philips Ultinon Led. His manual is wrong!!! It's saying that you must use H11 bulbs for Fog Lights. However, the correct bulb is HB4 :-( That's very weird because HB4 is used by 2009 Subaru Legacy. 2010 to 2013 USDM models uses H11 bulbs (my friend and me have a 2011 JDM Subaru Legacy model). I see there is a HB4 to H11 wire adapters. Is there any H11 to HB4 socket adapter too? I really wish using Philips Ultinon LED Bulbs, but they are only sold in H8, H11 and H16 socket type and ours 2011 JDM Subaru Legacy use HB4 bulbs for FOG Lights.
