A few questions for every with more experience than I 1. Should I? The struts and shocks seems stiff (if sometime more abrupt than I like) but the handling is really good. I hear that Pinks just lower the car while keeping the ride quality the same. 2. Where can I go to get replacement top hats? 3. Will KYB struts/shock combo be fine with the PINKs? 2. I was referring to the JDM STI springs that I was going to get from JapanParts.com I was looking at Bilstein on Amazon and I realized that the OEM offering is cheaper. Is this right? I disagree that the combo is harsh, but that is subjective. I do agree that if one thinks the OEM Bilstein setup is harsh at times that they will likely think the Pink/HD combo is harsh. Orly. I do like the low body roll... Is there a compromise somewhere? Koni insert with the adjustable damping turn to soft and Tein H tech? Absolutely, everyone's experience is different. If you think that video resembles comfortable suspension, the more power to you I've heard this setup described as "butter smooth". I'm not quite old enough to want Cadillac of yore ride quality. Your video doesn't convey much as my eyeball and ear to ass converter seems to be broken. Then again, I came from DDing a 2100 lb 1991 Civic hatch with ploy LCA bushings, and Eibach revalved K&W V1 coilovers. I hear people describe the K&W setup for these cars as being incredibly smooth, but I am skeptical based on my experience with the Civic. The best bet is to find someone with a suspension setup similar to what you are looking at and see if they will take you for a ride. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
ssbtech Posted August 4, 2015 Share Posted August 4, 2015 This combination seems marginally more comfortable than my crappy Megan Racing coilovers. Speed bumps and driveway entrances are about the only things that are better with the Bils and pinks. I do have poly LCA bushings, but I didn't notice much of an increase in NVH when they went on.
