starionesir
Been checking everywhere on the car for this issue and so far no luck. Problem is when I step on the brakes the FM radio reception goes to static. Some times its less static then others. Its very odd. You can sit still, let go of the brake and the radio comes in clear. Then touch the brake and immediately goes to static. I've checked all the brake wiring and so far nothing suspicious. Anybody else experience something similar? apexi
I did some googling, and some people have this issue when they use LED's in their brake lights. Do you have any LED brake lights? I knew fluorescent lights caused interference, I didn't know LED's did too. That's about all I can come up with, other than the possibility of a bad ground. starionesir
I do have led tail light bulbs. I knew about fluorescent bulbs causing interference like you said but never heard of leds doing it. Could always swap them out and see what happens. Not hard to swap bulbs.
cbkenison
I'm gonna resurrect this old ass thread. I installed LED brakes from diode dynamics and now have the same issue. I'm going to see if I can narrow it down a specific bulb, and see if ferrite cores can clamp down on the interference. Hopefully I can keep at least the third brake light led. starionesir
Let me know what you find. I rarely drive the legacy so the problem is still there. Hadn't really checked into it much.
