urdrwho Posted June 19, 2015 Share Posted June 19, 2015 Today I popped another PO136 code, no CEL but it showed as pending on the reader. I am not certain if that is the front or rear 02 sensor. Full text was PO136 02 sensor circuit Bank 1 Sensor 2 So I am guess bank one is on the left side of the car and the second )2 sensor would be the rear one. Am I correct? Am I correct? bank 1 is always the side of the engine with cylinder #1, in this case the side away from the battery, or passenger side in the US. sensor 2 is the second in line from the engine back. but on our cars from the 90s, there are only 2 sensors, front and rear. but the text reads ''circuit'' this suggest it is a wiring problem. it may not be, but worth checking before you buy. look for bad wiring or connector , maybe corrosion.
