urdrwho Posted June 15, 2015 Share Posted June 15, 2015 While waiting for my timing parts to arrive I thought I would mess around and get things prepared. If I remember the alignment marke on the 2.5 I did had marks that were much clearer than this 2.2. I found the line that is marked into the crank but I'm not 100% sure of the alignment notation on the engine. There is a small half moon looking mark that is located at about 12:03. Is that the alignment mark to align the crank to? The white mark. The white mark is where I took chalk and marked the half moon and included pictures of it. If the half moon looking mark is the alignment mark, it seems that alignment can be subjective because the mark is up and away from the crank mark. I'm just not thinking clearly and need help. Didn't sleep well last night because the house AC stopped working. This week the subbie broke a timing belt, AC clutch is giong out on wife's Volvo and then yesterday the house AC stopped working.
