Vacuum leak traced to this, what is it?

Recommended Posts

My 06 LGT went into limp mode and tripped P0171. Plus it had a hissing sound when shut off. I had a shop smoke trace it to the pictured and red circled vacuum valve which is cracked. Can anyone please tell me more about it. Do you have to take off the intake manifold to get to it?

I'm going to the dealer tomorrow to order it. They're closed on Memorial Day.

I won't be able to get this fixed until Saturday. Am I okay to drive to and from work and get groceries this week with this broken? It's not going to cause anything serious, is it?

Roughly 10 miles per day round trip.

I don't want to bump my post since I know what it is, but honestly curious about that.

So, I'm reading into this with info from here: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2486013

Seems like this is one of the more expensive EVAP vacuum leaks than can happen. I'll also be zip tying every other line when my GrimmSpeed TMIC comes in. Something always seems to break when I buy something nice.

Invest in a Turkeylord Blue Tee replacement. That's where I kept losing my lines under my TMIC after being tuned.
