'98 GTB Boost Controller, BOV & Turbo Timer

Recommended Posts

Alright, so I'm looking to do some boost mods to my Leggy; a BOV, boost controller, and turbo timer.

For the boost controller, since it's a sequential twin-turbo system, would I have to get 2 controllers if I were to go with a manual setup? If not, how much extra plumbing would be involved? Kind of the same question for the BOV and turbo timer, any extra plumbing needed?

And are there any brands that are a better fit for Subaru's than others? I only know of GFB, and HKS seems to make decent Subaru bits as well, not really a specialist though.

Thanks!!

If I were you I'd register on uklegacy.com and see what the guys over there have to say. There are hardly any GTBs in the states and most of us on this forum don't know very much about them.

The turbo timer isn't really necessary though.

theres a local shop here that is championing 3 different sequential turbo subaru projects. im trying to get in good enough with them to work with the tuner, im really curious and interested in finding a good working tune for it.

A normal controller will only change primary turbo boost. And a word of warning, don't do it. These turbo's love grenading themselves when extra boost is added to the equation
