SSpeed
Is the SPT a stock Y-pipe configuration (can stock and stocklike cans bolt right up) or is it totally different?

SSpeed
To update on mine, on the highway this morning, it was very tolerable. Very slight drone around 80mph at 3000ish rpm, but not bad at all, I don't know if it's worth finding a new resonator and I'll probably send the Gibson muffler back, it's near perfect since installing the ELH. ELH header -> Cobb 3" downpipe -> Vibrant 3" cat -> 3" Treadstone flex section -> AVO 3" mid w/resonator -> AVO 2.5" Y pipe -> Borla 40659 ProXS 2.5" in/2.5" out
whitrzac
My car is 1/4 as loud at 85mph as it is at 65mph:spin: Now I know why decent axlebacks are $600+. It's going to cost $300+ in parts to build what I want:eek: I'm thinking 2 of these [ame=http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000COP6NU/ref=ox_sc_act_title_4?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER]Amazon.com: Magnaflow 13216 XL Turbo Satin Stainless Steel 2.5" Oval Muffler: Automotive[/ame]
SSpeed
I wish you were local and the SPT had a stock bolt-up configuration, we could mix, match and trade to check out sound. If I were starting from scratch (or could weld) I think I would try two Gibson 55142S mufflers in the rear with the design like I posted in post #6. Then the Borla 40085 XR-1 Code suggested inline with the AVO resonator in the tunnel. The Gibson design is close to straight-through and supposedly cuts down sound a lot. http://www.summitracing.com/parts/gib-55142s/overview/ http://www.summitracing.com/parts/bor-40085/overview/ I like the looks of this design for toning down sound. http://www.jegs.com/images/photos/462superflowcutaway.jpg And don't forget about tips, flanges, mandrel bends, hangers and gaskets. Parts add up quick.
Unsp0kn
Check out Vibrant Performance, their mufflers and resonators are very good quality. I love my exhaust setup.

Code
Will restriction be an issue with the crossover design of those mufflers on a turbo car? "Striving to better, oft we mar what's well." - Bill Shakespeare - car modder
SSpeed
Will restriction be an issue with the crossover design of those mufflers on a turbo car? I wonder that, the offset-center design shouldn't be a restriction at the offset inlet, but the center outlet would have to pressurize the outside chamber to escape. I'll do a super unscientific "blowing of air through it" with the compressor and see what happens.
SSpeed
Here's a good video. On a computer with subwoofer, it's a pretty good representation of what it sounds like. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JI9Q7FNqnps

The SPT 'small' pipes are 2.25, not 2.5in. Magnaflows are on. Sounds amazing at idle. Still drones. It's much quieter with one of the mufflers plugged. Should have gone with 2in or 2.25in mufflers:spin:
SSpeed
My Borlas have quieted down big time once I got about 500 miles on them. The EL header was probably the biggest help though, with the stock UEL manifold it was just a pulsating horrendous sound.
