adjusting idle with cobb AP

Recommended Posts

My car, although healthy, idles in drive (5eat) around 300-400 rpm. Subie manual says it should be closer to 650. I can raise it with my accessport, but I'm concerned to mess with this as I have no tuning experience. Can this damage anything if I bump it up 250rpm? there are settings to adjust idle with a/c and without a/c, should they be any different?

I plan on having a pro tune within the next month, should I let the pros adjust this instead?

I'd say don't mess with it if there isn't a problem. If it's running fine and not dropping to a shudder or anything of concern it should be alright. I would leave it and see what your tuner suggests, especially after a tune.
