Poor Radio Reception

So I installed my oem style Nav in my Legacy a few months ago. At first the radio reception was terrible and almost non existent. Then I realized the power for the antenna wasn't hooked up. After doing that, the reception got a lot better, but it still isnt up to par with my stock radio. Is there any way to boost the signal more?

I did notice that the antenna wire from my car has two connections but the one that it connects to for my aftermarket radio only has one connection. Does anyone know if the 2014 has dual antennas and I am now only using one?

Yes, your car does have dual ("diversity") antennas. But that's probably not the cause of poorer reception.

Check with a good voltmeter (preferably digital) and see whether your new HU is supplying no less than 12V to your car's power antenna pin. Subaru's antenna booster amplifiers don't play well with a lower voltage.
