tekrice
2008 Legacy GT 130K miles (original struts) What's the best ROI for my current set up? new KYB GR2 w/stock springs ($40rebate) or upgrade the front & rear sway bars? Total cost is comparable (parts + labor) No leaks on the struts, but they feel "tired" Any feedback is appreciated.
whitetiger
if you feel your struts are worn, then you must replace those first. no point upgrading if things need repair. id go for koni's over the kyb if you want some improvement over stock. Agreed. Fix what's worn out first, then look to upgrade. Upgrading sways will put extra wear on already tired dampers, which means they will fail faster. Also look at your sway bar end links. They could be loose and/or popping at this point. After replacing the struts and end links see how you like the ride. Then consider other upgrades. +1 on the Koni dampers.
