Racing (drama)/Lapping days for Boxkita:

Miata:

Sept 19-21 - ICSCC/IRDC Race#14 at The Ridge in Shelton - http://www.icscc.com/2015/announce/irdc_sept_annc.pdf

Sept 14 & 17 - Turn2Lapping at The Ridge in Shelton

Wagon (maybe):

wagon still in shop :-(

FAQ:

For the race weekends, if you are interested in being on the pit crew, drop me a line. If you have pit gear (radios, jacks, tents, etc) and want to share, drop me a line. If you like to watch, there is spectator space (be in the pit crew, instead).

For the Ridge lapping days (with Turn2), you are welcome to hang out in the paddock. Sometimes, you can bum a ride, too (bring a helmet). Any event that has "Race" in the title wont be a ride-along day.

Wagon on the track. Sorry, this is probably not going to happen again. Wheel bearings cost too much money to replace and they only last one day. If you come out to a Porsche, BMW, Audi driver skills/car control clinic day, I can give you a ride. Be sure to PM me first before showing up.

If you want to drive, the Porsche Driver Skills days are a great introduction to pushing you & your car. If you are still hooked, the Porsche HPDE days are good. The Audi event on May 17 & 18 combines Driver Skills and HPDE in one weekend, which will qualify you for any HPDE day with any club in the Pacific NW.

bumping this thread. I sure expected to have driven more this year. Sigh...racing is expensive. :-)

Will be doing a year's worth of racing in 1 week. Sept 14 (monday) & Sept 17 (thursday) is lapping. Sept 18 (friday) is test-n-tune which is like racing without the high dollar prizes. Sept 19 (saturday) is qualifying, enduro, and karting championship. Sept 20 (sunday) is racing ! Sept 21 (monday) is a visit to Steph to fix everything I broke during the week.

As always, helpers are welcome.

As further enticement, The Ridge has added a go-kart track and a viewing stand for spectators. On Saturday, a winner-take-all karting race series will take place. As an added bonus, if you volunteer to help out a half day saturday or sunday, I'll pay your $25 entry fee for the starting round. How far you go is based on your skill.
