tekrice
i have a 2008 legacy gt mt I hit 2 bad pot holes today and was told that my front front left strut is slightly bent and the car can no longer align. Was advised by NTB the strut may get worse and may fail in mid drive. I found a used set of spec b stock Billstein strut that came off of a 2006 lgt. Will this fit my car with the oem springs? Or do I need to find something aftermarket? Anyone had experience with a bent strut due to potholes? Thanks for your thoughtful responses.
Rhitter
Spec B springs and top hats are different. I don't have any experience with shoving a KYB spring onto a Spec.B strut hat so I can't advise you if it would work. Did they provide you with a print out? how far out of alignment are you? A strut failing in mid drive means that that corner would get really really bouncy. I would look for used KYB struts here. Unless you want to convert to Bilsteins.
