tekrice
2008 LGT I just ordered an iClever Himbox, and i'm trying to figure out where to mount the microphone/button. I plan to follow this write up on removing the center console http://legacygt.com/forums/showthread.php?t=148630&highlight=center+console I plan to run the wire from my center console to my dash somewhere. I am having a hard time figuring out where I can run out the button/wire without the trim pieces pinching it. I dont want to drill or cut any of the trim pieces if I can help it. Anyone provide some insight?
SohcIt2me
if your trim isn't perfectly matched like mine is, where the radio trim meets the gear shifter trim would have a big enough gap for you. Run the cord under your shifter trim to your arm rest (I assume that's where you're running it to for aux and power). You would have to drill a hole in your arm rest compartment from the front so you don't have a hole that stuff can slip into to have no wires showing. To avoid drilling you can just have the cord come out between the middle console and carpeting next to the passenger seat and route the wire into your armrest.
