ryancuddy
Hello all, Sorry to begin a new thread if one already exists. I have a 2005 legacy GT and the front headlight went out. Anyhow, I went to pull the connecter plug off my light as usual and it basically crumbled. It was melted and now severed from the wire. I have researched the web and found replacement ceramic connectors, but I have no idea how to rewire it. Is this something that can easily be done at home, or should it be taken to a shop? Also, if there is a DIY post related to this somewhere, please let me know. Thanks!
turboboost
Got a picture? It'll convey the problem a lot better. As of now, all I can suggest is buying a new connector and soldering the +/- wires or using M/F disconnects to join the OEM harness to the new connector. iNVAR
It's self explanatory if you just look a little further along the wire. It's a harness. You unplug the low and high beams and disconnect the harness. Put in the new one, reconnect your bulbs. Done. 5 minute job if it's not freezing cold outside. travrach
OP do you simply have something like this? You don't have a plug & pay harness do you..
