Zerohour
So, looking at swapping out front and rear sway bar end links. 220k on chassis, so the exiting links are split/cracking. Considering going with all moog from rock auto (about $130 shipped). Also considering whiteline links (about $200 shipped). Any thoughts on which? Are whiteline links worth another $70? I currently have a 20mm front bar (outback) and a 20mm rear bar (whiteline) to install with new links. Also open to other suggestions.

Zerohour
Hi John, are you suggestion just OEM fronts? With Whiteline rears? All Subaru OEM is ~$220, making it the most expensive option. This is why I went looking: Cheapest mixed mystery brand parts ~$100 Moog front & rear online (rock auto) was ~$130 Moog front & rear locally was ~$160 with tax Whiteline kit $200 shipped (eBay/Amazon) Subaru OEM ~$220 Quite a range, and the Whiteline came with new bolts, all others stick me with 20 year old OEM bolts. Not bad, but I suspect at least one may break during removal or use from upgraded bars.
johnegg
suabru fronts are 42$ each plus 10% for shipping, on line. i did not price the rears. i guess they could be more than the fronts but i doubt it. i'm suggesting by the time you wear out the subaru replacement parts your unborn child will be in college. but i completely understand if money is the primary concern. my approach would be to buy good used links from http://www.car-part.com they will be cheaper, way cheaper. you know the quality. and may well last longer than your ownership of the car. a complete failure of one is unlikely, but even it it happened, you could still drive the car. but that's just me. Zerohour
Hahaha, well played. My last Roo had about 110k when sold, had whiteline rear bar only as the factory links were still good. This time around more parts are worn. Since whiteline is one of the go-to places for Subaru handling upgrades, figured I asked. The second gen is well tested at this point, assumed there at some GT owners that have put 100k on aftermarket parts! So any thoughts against the whiteline parts? Are they known not to last? Won't be ordering immediately, bitter cold and my next two weekends are claimed.
98legwag
I have Hardrace end links on my wagon. A friend of mine bought them too. They are steel with rubber bushings. They are $120 before shipping. http://www.buyhardrace.com/product/hardrace-front-sway-bar-end-links-steel-impreza-gc-gd_83.html http://www.buyhardrace.com/product/hardrace-rear-sway-bar-end-links-steel-impreza-gc-gd_75.html
Zerohour
What timing...I ordered the whiteline kit yesterday. I would have given those a try! However, they also have the control arm bushings!
