Save for a wheel bearing going out in the Yukon, and a rough idle that plagued me since the beginning of the trip it was a great success. ~2500L of gas, and 5 oil changes. bobo99 Posted December 29, 2014 Author Share Posted December 29, 2014 I was actually trouble shooting along the trip, first it was a turbo inlet replacement, then vacume and boost leak, then coil pack, then injector cleaner, then both OCV valves, and then FINALLY when I got back to Ottawa, just two clogged injectors. But since new injectors it's been purring like a kitten. Did a compression test to be sure as well, since I'm at 210k km now, and that checked out, so no ringland failure yet... bobo99 Posted December 30, 2014 Author Share Posted December 30, 2014 Some people have asked me why I decided to go with such a "powerful" car, and honestly it was so worth it. The ability to pass whenever you want was what kept you awake during the long stretches.
