It looks like this [2014 Outback in Sweden]

Your nav head unit appears to be very similar to the nav HUs found in 2013-2014 Legacys/Outbacks here in North America.

There should be a model number printed on the front of yours, above the volume knob. What is yours?

Does your car have the factory harman/kardon amplifier and speaker system?

The OEM Fujitsu Ten nav HU does not have a subwoofer output (it does not even have any line-level outputs for the main speaker outputs). To add a sub, your only option is to tap into a pair of the high-level (amplified) main speaker outputs.

Incidentally, the screens on the Subaru FT nav may look very similar to those on the Eclipse AVN827GA, but the controls on the front and the connectors on the rear are significantly different.

If your car does not have the h/k system, you can use this harness to add a subwoofer (and optionally also add an amplifier for the main speakers).

Line output converter would probably be the easiest way to get a signal level that will feed an amplifier for a subwoofer. You tap the lines going to the stock speakers and it converts that to a lower power rca output signal. Some amplifiers have this feature built in.

Here is a link, they start around $20 usd and go up in price from there.

I dont know if I have harman/kardon . How can I check that?

You would see h/k emblems on all of the speakers...

including the subwoofer on the rear parcel shelf:

and the h/k amp under the passenger seat:

Also, the HU usually has "harman/kardon" printed on its face too.

I'm guessing your car doesn't have the h/k system.

No I have not.

What is the best way to upgrade the system? Do I need to replace the speakers and install a amp?
