GTEASER
Sounds like the heater core is leaking as a result of a crack or rusted out. GTEASER's 2012 Legacy GT - Sold GTEASER's 2009 XTeaser - Sold GTEASER's 1992 Legacy SS - Sold

GTEASER
Engine coolant runs through the heater core which is located in the interior of the car, behind the dashboard. If it's leaking, it will leak down into the front footwell area. Do you have a sunroof? Sometimes the sunroof drains which run thru the A-Pillar clog up with leaf debris and dust, and essentially the roof floods under the headliner and the water can run down the A-pillar trim into the footwells. johnegg
does the car have a sun roof? i can't imagine a brighton would have one but who knows. heater cores can go bad, but usually you would smell the ''sweet smell'' of anti-freeze. AC condensation drain is much more common. try not using the AC or the defrost for several days and see if it leaks then. the drain tube goes from inside the car , through the fire wall on the passenger side of the engine compartment, and then down so it will drip on the ground. if it is plugged it could leak into the car.
