crossle32
Looking for input on a shop in the DC Metro Area that would do a good job installing a remote start on a 2005 5mt. I don't have time right to do it myself. There are some around but not confident on their work. Has any one done an OEM on a manual trans? What's involved? travrach
For shop info you may want to post in the regional section. As for your second question; you'd have to by-pass the clutch switch. That means the car will start with out pushing the clutch, can be dangerous when tired and forget the car is in gear
SpecBamf41
you could also use the switch in the transmission that tells cruise to trip when the you take the car out of gear. then its just wont start if its in gear and you'll be all cold and shiz, instead all cold and rear ended a cop car. crossle32
If you bypass the clutch, will the cruise control still work? Does the OEM make provisions for mt?
baci
MT isnt a issue with remote start. You basically have to arm the system before you get out otherwise it wont allow you to start it. Wont work in gear either for obvious safety reasons.
