Vacuum gauge install help

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone.

After searching for over 6 hours on info for the 2004 2.5i Liberty (yeah, im aussie)... i'm absolutely stuffed if I can see where I need to T my vacuum gauge I wish to install.

reason being, I do a lot of highway driving and some towing. would like to achieve better out of the car then just flooring it and letting cruise control do it's madness.

The on board display for fuel consumption is dead as per usual. I remember it's resolution for increments in instantaneous km/l was pretty poor and slow to react.

all the info I can find is on turbo motors only... it's not really helping me.

I can see the line running from the brake booster to the manifold but I have no interest in cutting anything related to it.

Other forums and members seem to know exactly where to do it but i'm stuffed if I can find a pic of where to. Others mention a source between the throttle body... help??

a thousand threads on turbo engines.. no NA motors let alone EJ253's.

Took an hour to find a vac gauge, had 4 different shops trying to sell me a boost/vac gauge and not understanding why I don't want it.

Any light shed on this would be greatly appreciated.
