I'm not sure what to do or what exhaust to buy in order for me to get that sound. If you could please help me out I would very much appreciate it:). GTEASER Posted November 10, 2014 Share Posted November 10, 2014 You need UEL (unequal length) headers to get that "rumble" sound. I think Borla makes one. Beware of the cheapie no-name Ebay ones, guys have had fitment issues and problems with them cracking at the welds, etc. The rest of the exhaust system is what keeps it quiet or makes it loud. JBCLegacy Posted November 19, 2014 Share Posted November 19, 2014 2004 Legacy with the factory 2.5NA? ..get rid of the resonators, find a small body muffler, don't mess with the pipe diameter too much or you'll feel a loss in the bottom end. Get it done at a small exhaust shop to save some cash. If you want to get dirty cheap, just cut the axleback (delete) off and leave the rest alone.
