ej22e to 2.2t

Recommended Posts

now that I have this car running and driving with the td04 install , Its time to get a healthier more reliable bottom end in it. i got a low miler 2.2t turbo engine. plans are:

-tear down

-clean and paint block

- replace all gaskets seals, and valve seals

- new waterpump, oil pump, hoses, new oil pan, updated seperator plate

- any other suggestions while apart?

I plan to use the whole 2.2 na intake and pcv setup, wirring, just swap it onto this block.

the turbo block has extra pcv ports 2 on the head and one more on the top of the block, just curious wwhat to do with these, can I omit them like the non turbo block?

what is a safe boost level on this lower compression engine?

I'd make sure all your oil squirters are in place and none fell out. It might be hard to see without splitting the block or removing the pistons. I can't remember if you can see them from below with the oil pan off.

One of mine fell out, it's fairly common. They are pretty expensive. I found a set of three on NASIOC for $100, but Rodger Clark Motorsports in the UK has them for about $90 each.
