Ozheritage
Ok its a 91 Liberty Heritage. So no turbo EJ22. So its the old starter solenoid contacts pitting way to fast. I have two starters. As one set of contacts flog out I put the other starter in and clean up the contacts on the other. I have done the relay fix to supply full power to starter solenoid. This starts fine but I get feed back through the cruise control. I.e if you have cruise on and put it in park or neutral the starter engages. Anyone had similar issues? Daughter getting the car so I have to make it um .. girl proof lol Cheers.
snederhiser
Hello; Your will need a wiring diagram to solve this. I would make sure the neutral safety switch is in working order and not shorting out. Looks to me that the real problem may lie in the cruise control circuit. It is showing a relay and a connection to the start switch, thinking this is the issue! Good luck, Steven.
