mr_edly
All four NGK 7913 SILFR6A Laser Iridium plugs I bought from an online vendor are pre-gapped at a consistent 0.025" I believe this NGK plug's specifications include being pre-gapped at 0.030" Is this deviation unusual? I'm just interested in other people's experiences with high-dollar recommended plugs like this. http://www.ngk.com/learning-center/article/190/should-i-gap-my-plugs says, "Even if the preset Gap matches that required by your engine, it is always good practice to physically check the Gap as it may have shifted during transportation." I've never installed plugs without gapping them myself, but I expected not to need to change anything with these. I carefully bent the side electrode to 0.030" without touching or pressing on the fragile center electrode. I believe I'm good to go.
GTTuner
Gap spec is .028-.032". I know they come a bit tight, I always leave them alone.
