Any Jeep aficionados please advise...

Recommended Posts

Would you guys buy this Jeep? My girlfriend and i are looking around for a jeep to replace her lease which is up in a few weeks. We've been looking for a long time and this one is just tempting us a lot!

i'd have to put a stereo and an A/C unit on it but other than that it looks like a great jeep to buy and potentially hold on to for a long time.

i've heard only good things about the old carbureted 4.2L can anyone confirm this? it has 137k on it.

i work on and fly airplanes for a living so i feel like this is something i can handle i've just never owned a jeep.

Thanks,

-Brett

I had a 89 wrangler with the 4.2 straight 6, nothing fancy, no top end but great for trail riding and in the snow. It was a pain to get the idle smooth. I swapped a Holley 2 barrel until I traded it in.

The post was deleted, but be careful of frame rot ( probably not too common in your area but beware ) and get a later model with a 4.0L MPI engine. I work for a Jeep dealer so hit me up if you have any questions, be glad to help.
