My First Car ('00 Legacy L)

I just recently purchased my first car. It's a 2000 Subaru Legacy L 5 Speed. May not be the best car, but it's in near mint condition and has a rebuilt engine. You'd never know it has 244k miles on the odometer.

Technically I owned a '97 Ford Escort as first car, but only put 12 miles on it so I'm not going to count that one :p. I've owned my Legacy for just about a week and absolutely love it, handles like a charm and has everything I could need, and my search for a manual transmission car paid off. I'm looking forward to putting some love into this car, I've already done some minor maintenance since I myself have gotten it, and plan on putting in Borla headers and possibly a Magnaflow exhaust to get a more aggressive sound.

All you gotta do is find a scrap GT and you'll have her looking super pretty in no time.

Nice find on the 5-speed.

Borla headers and a Good brand universal exhaust (Borla,HKS,Stromung) sounds good no matter what.

I'm iffy on exhausts you can buy from pepboys.

Thanks guys. She's still running smooth as can be. Took her out in the snow and got a little sideways and got some videos, I'll see if I can post them. Sadly, during one of the snowstorms my dad managed to clip my car with his Toyota Tundra and knocked out my rear taillight and scraped my paint off and dented my quarter panel, he said he'd only replace the taillight and not my quarter panel because he's not replacing a quarter panel on a "15 year old car". So, this spring I'm planning on doing a list of maintenance and repairs on small issues with it and then over summer reselling for maybe a few hundred over what I got it for and getting an '07 GT Limited, if insurance isn't too bad.

Overall looks very clean, consider seeing if its the clips thats making the font bumper sag under the drivers headlight

I actually had to put it up on a lift because I slid into a curb trying to take a corner in the snow a lot faster than I should've been and destroyed one of my rims and knocked the alignment out really bad, but that's all taken care of. Anyway, back on track. I did look underneath to see what was going on with the bumper, and it looks like the clips that hold onto the bottom of it have rotted away, so it's kind of hanging on by a thread. And on the front headlight part, that is indeed a clip over the headlight keeping it like that lol. I plan on taking care of that this spring.
