Vmax540
2005 Legacy GT Limited Vin#4S3BL676856216745 ordered new block and complete O.E.M. gasket set P# 10105AA720 from Subaru dealer. Came with 4 cam seal which are two different sizes. Local Advanced Auto, Car Quest and NAPA all call for two different sized seals. Both old block and new block are marked EJ25 Heads are marked B25. My heads have all four cams and seals the same size ? ! ? Seals that are the right size are NOKBH5885F or KOK11184 I.D. 32mm, O.D. 55mm, Width 8.30mm. Interesting... Could the heads or block been replaced with an older or newer model ? Thanks for any help ! Chuck S.
Brian3676
The seal with the bigger internal opening (one on right in middle picture) goes on the top (intake cam). There will be a gap between the cam and seal still, but once the AVCS gear is installed onto the cam everything seals right up! The reason they are different is the intake has AVCS and exhaust does not.

MrTris
Also -- Painter's tape, dude! Tape up the PCV port, as well as your intake ports -- Those plastic bags aren't gonna do you any good!
Vmax540
Brian, Thanks I feel like an idiot... it's been six months since tear down and the old seals were probably throw away by the guy who did the heads. Thanks Again !
MrTris
Also, you need Vacation Pix, and the book that goes with it, if you don't have them already. Search Vacation Pix -
