In Manhattan there is a big switch to these smaller vans for parking and gas. Around the NYC area in traffic the NV would get about 175 miles before I would start to look for a gas station. That kind of small vans have been around for decades here in Europe... Most of them are driven until they fall apart - then they are either scrapped or see the final days in Africa or eastern Europe.
