Winesalot
I have a 95 Legacy SW manual which I am going to do an engine swap this coming weekend. I found a fairly low mile ej22 with no egr and I am ready to do this dance and get the car back on the road. I want to replace the timing components, clutch, and oil separator while I have it out. Do these look like good parts for a good price? Winesalot
Anybody? Please? I'd sure like some confirmation before I buy these parts.
johnegg
i can not speak to the clutch, i'm an auto trans guy. the timing belt kit is correct for your 95 lego. i do not airtex as a brand name but i didn't know the name of the parts i used until i bought them. the cover plate will in fact work, but i see no mention of the screws. you need new screws for the new cover. one of the screws comes with sealant? or thread lock? and fits in a specific hole. i paid lees for both when i did mine. but not much. the plate and screws from the dealer is about $35, the timing kit i used came from ''theimportexperts'' on ebay, about $135 shipped. http://www.rockauto.com also has good pricing on timing kits. johnegg
you may also want to buy cam and crank seals, get them from the dealer, or online dealer. and if you are keeping the car long term, i would reseal the oil pump and replace the oil pump o-ring, from the dealer. online dealer parts: SubaruOnlineParts.com :: Original parts for your Subaru SubaruGenuineParts.com :: Original parts for your Subaru part number look up: Subaru parts catalog rockauto.com has a tab where you can put in a subaru part number and they will display matching parts for sale.
