Throttlejockey
On top of the dash on the right side? Okay, maybe not a button but some kind of temp or light sensor?
MSB
:needpics: but i think it is a sunlight sensor and is part of the climate control - needs to work a bit harder in bright sunshine as your car will do a good impression of a turbocharged greenhouse. I think it is mentioned in the manual.

Throttlejockey
You can't see it in the pic but it's on the right side next to the windshield post on top of the dash. Actually you can barely see it.

MSB
If it looks as if it is made from a dark blueish plastic it is definitely to do with the aircon. Next time you are out on a sunny day, put on the auto aircon and cover the'button', then after a while, expose it to the sunlight and see if the aircon system changes. WeThree
Yep, solar sensor for the automatic climate control system according to the manual. Look around the drivers side kickpanel, theres another sensor there, for air temperature.
