dizzydice169 Posted July 15, 2014 Share Posted July 15, 2014 Ive all of a sudden lost my oil pressure. Gauge reads 0psi and oil light on. Got plenty of oil in motor and no leaks. Little bit of a rattle if I start it so im getting no oil where it needs to be. The motors prob done 3000km since rebuils. Any ideas. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
johnegg Posted July 15, 2014 Share Posted July 15, 2014 what year? the oil pump has a backing plate and 6 - 8 screws that hold it in place. ine the early years, 90 - 99, the screws had a tendency to '' back out''. this would cause the pump to not be efficient. the fix is to pull the pump and tighten the screws. usually this was done in combination with the timing belt.
