ShermanLGT Posted July 6, 2014 Share Posted July 6, 2014 alright so i need an answer ASAP, i have a 05 LGT, one of the previous owners made a custom 3" DP with no cats and no O2 sensor, it has a Y-Pipe starting at about 6 inches from the flange that opens into a cutout or continues to the rest of the 3" exhaust (straight pipe to mufflers) what O2 sensor do i need? (Downstream/upstream) and where would i weld it into place? PLEASE NEED AN ANSWER ASAP I HAVE A TUNE SESH ON SUNDAY AND WANT THIS TAKEN CARE OF PRIOR!!!! Thank You! FknBoss Posted July 6, 2014 Share Posted July 6, 2014 You need a downstream. But it will still throw a po420 code. You can drill out a spark plug non fouler and should get rid of the 420 code. You'll have to put it before the cut out. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

ShermanLGT Posted July 6, 2014 Author Share Posted July 6, 2014 well the code im throwing is read as rear o2 sensor heater low or something like that, only one code. with that being said, im well aware there is no rear o2 sensor haha. so youre confident on the welding position though???
