pollycranopolis
I've added a series of MP3 format songs to a couple of standard USB 2.0 16GB flash drives (different manufacturers). Vehicle is a 2014 Legacy 2.5i Premium with the new standard upgraded radio (non-nav). When connecting drives via the center armrest USB the following issues arise: 1. Stereo is slow to read USB drive and pull song/folder lists. 2. Slow response times of HU buttons when navigating USB. 3. When songs do start playing, they skip or pause every few seconds. I've tried the following things: 1. Deleted partitions and reformatted drives to FAT32. 2. Placed MP3 files directly on root drive, removed folders 3. Reduced amount of songs on flash drives (e.g. - 12 MP3 files on root, no folders). Despite these efforts, the issues persist. I'm wondering if this could be a drive speed/drive size issue, or if this could have something to do with the HU itself. Suggestions are appreciated. bloodwingg2
Have you tried any media ? Another hard drive or usb thumb drive ? I have a hard drive and it is not reading the hard drive. I guess the usb port just for ipods =)
DrD123
Have you checked the connections to the USB jack (the car harness itself) - maybe a pin is making intermittent contact, causing noise?
