H O O N Posted June 15, 2014 Share Posted June 15, 2014 Hey there guys! im new to this fourms, Im seriously considering buying a 2006 Subaru Liberty which is a 4 Cyl 2.5L boxer engine. I had a lancer before this with a cannon and sounded, amazing to say the least, i like the loud cars and my main goal will be to make this loud (legally loud) and eventually put coil overs and some rims on it. BUT it is a 4 cyl and im not sure if that will ruin the boxer engine by putting a straight pipe on it? small engined cars need the backfire of the resonator/catalytic converter for the engine to start up correctly or what ever it is. I want a loud car, (not spastically loud) but just a nice purr to it. How will i accomplish this?... any thoughts or ideas would be, the the best.
